Help to identify these white small flowers
Please, help me to find the name of this herb with small white flowers. This plant is growing in the wild, in the forest (Ukraine, Europe). I saw it in April.
Thank you.
Seems it is Stellaria holostea, the addersmeat or greater stitchwort, in the carnation family Caryophyllaceae. Stellaria, the genus name, means ‘star-like’. The epithet holostea comes from the Greek holosteon, which means ‘entire bone’; a reference to the brittleness of the weak stems of this plant. The common name Stitchwort is a reference to a herbal remedy in which this plant is used allegedly to cure side stitch, which afflicts many people when they try to run without stretching first.
Stellaria holostea is native to Western and Central Europe, including the British Isles.
