Need help with plant id which is dense and grows like a carpet
I’ve bought this plant to eradicate weeds in one area of my garden and it is perfect as a groundcover, but the lady who sold it, wasn’t sure about the name of this herb. I would like to research more about this plant to make sure how to water it and if it is ok to plant it in the sun.
Please, help me to find the name of this low-growing, with dense roots plant, which looks like a green carpet. Thank you!
PS Plant is in Ukraine
I think it is Sedum album or white stonecrop, in the family Crassulaceae. Maybe Sedum album ‘Coral Carpet’, which is one of the hardier ones, to Zone 3.
White stonecrop is a low-growing plant that forms mat-like stands. It is specially adapted for growing on thin dry soils and can be found on walls, dry banks, seashore rocks and in rocky meadows.
Some kind of Sedum, not sure which one though.
