What is the name of this brown fruit from India?

Could you help me to identify this fruit? I took this photo in India and forgot the name of this delicious sweet fruit. You can see this fruit at the Indian markets a lot.
Thank you in advance!

This is NOT Sapodilla. Manilkara Zapota (chikoo) has different type of leaves. Manilkara doesn’t have three veined leaves, but one in the middle like on this pic:

The leaf in your image is typical Strychnos. More likely it is Strychnos nux-vomica, or Strychnine tree.  It is the source of the poison strychnine.

Hi Traveler!I have just returned from India. 🙂 This looks like chiku. Manilkara Zapota, commonly known as Sapodilla. In India it is known as chikoo (chiku) and sapota. Yummy stuff!
