What is this tree with brown nuts?

Anybody knows what is this tree with green glossy leaves and brown fruits or something looking like nuts? I am not sure if those brown things are really nuts or fruits or something else. I didn’t think at that time to pick it and open to look inside, but just took a photo. Please, help me to identify and find the name of this tree. I saw it in the park in France. Thank you in advance.

    Looks like Camellia…. Maybe Camellia japonica? But could you please post another photo to see the growth habit?
