What is this tree with long thin pods and white flowers?
This is Catalpa bignonioides, species of Catalpa. Common names include Southern catalpa, Cigar tree, and Indian bean tree. Its fruit is a slender bean-like pod.
Catalpa is a fast-growing tree with an extensive root system, it has been planted on land that is subject to landslips or erosion in order to stabilize the soil.
