Which herbs would you grow on your windowsill in winter?
I am thinking to grow some fresh herbs on my windowsill – it could be a triple pleasure 🙂 to eat, for fun and a nice green view of a miniature garden during cold winter days 🙂 Which herbs would you recommend to plant (easy and fast growing)? Thank you!
Usually I grow rosemary. I love its smell and taste! 🙂 But it is not so easy. It needs lots of light and minimal watering. (Rosemary plant will require 6-8 hours of full sun, so artificial lights may be necessary. Heat is not as crucial as sunlight.) Rosemary is usually propagated by cuttings.
Rosmarinus officinalis, means “dew of the sea” and most closely associated with the cooking of the Mediterranean area, which I am fond of.
